Driving Barefoot in FiveFingers

Driving Barefoot FiveFingers

Most of you have probably driven barefoot once or twice, even if you were just quickly moving your car to a new parking spot. Do you remember what it felt like? Driving barefoot brings a whole new element of feel to powering your motor vehicle. You will feel more connected to your car giving you better control of acceleration.

Many people love driving barefoot and there are lots of you out there that would like to drive barefoot more often. Unfortunately, driving barefoot isn't always practical because you have to spend time putting shoes on and off and your feet get dirty. This is where Vibram FiveFingers come in. Driving with FiveFingers gives you the same barefoot driving feel and control, while keeping your feet clean and providing the convenience of keeping the same shoes on from the time you leave your house to your return home. The FiveFingers rubber sole also provides great grip on the pedals.

A common question among barefoot drivers is whether or not it is illegal. Barefoot driving is legal in all US states, but if you wear FiveFingers you will be operating your vehicle within the confines of the law.

All we can say is to try it for yourself. Strap up your FiveFingers, hit the road, and see how it feels. If you like the driving barefoot, your FiveFingers will be your new favorite shoe to wear in the driver's seat.

I have always want a pair of this five finger shoe but wanted to really get the perspective of other user what they think about it. usually wear loafers when driving because i own a 3 series 5 speed, so if this is comfortable i will definitely love to have it. I wonder if the MMA fighter can wear them in the ring LOL

2. I used myens to drive my BMW

I used myens to drive my BMW M5 before I used my baretoes and it felt good driving barefoot felt I had a good grip on the pedals of the cars.

I own a pair of KSOs and a pair of Fila Skeletoes. I've not driven wearing the KSOs yet but there is definitely a difference between driving with regular shoes on and the Skeletoes. You can feel the pedals better and I think it makes me a better driver too.

I might have to try these. I always remove my heels and drive in my pantyhose. Probably get a little better grip too.

I learned to drive a stick shift barefoot. The way to go. You can feel when the clutch grabs. Only ever stalled once or twice when I learned.

i always driive in my stocking feet

6. The reason you failed

The reason you failed miserably is because your muscle memory is used to having an extra 3/4-1 inches on the sole of your foot. Your brain puts your foot in exactly the same position, but since you are missing the sole of your shoe the clutch itself is actually up higher and therefore, the clutch will catch differently and you will look and feel like you suck at driving a manual. If you spend some time doing it, like a day or 2, you will be just fine. I drive barefoot on the way to the gym while wearing my sandals because I cant drive with those on. The heel of the sandal is constantly hitting the floor and stopping my fluid motion. I want to try a pair of these for driving.

7. What about driving a stick

What about driving a stick shift with a clutch pedal? I have tried driving mine barefoot once and failed miserably. With automatics I have no problems.

8. I drive in mine all the time,

I drive in mine all the time, its definitely a cool feeling, better than driving barefoot imo
